Intensives

Ignite is a ministry of New Directions Community Church devoted to raising up pioneering leaders. We want to do all that we can to encourage, equip, envision and empower leaders (or would be leaders) who are devoted to seeing God’s Kingdom expanded.

The Intensive are high impact times, full of biblical wisdom where participants will receive not just impartation, but also impartation so that when they leave to go back to their own ministry situations, they do so changed and equipped to take vital steps forward.

This year, the remaining Ignite Intensive is to be held from 26 to 28 August.

The keys To Effective Leadership - August 26 - 28, 2010

Perhaps the greatest opportunity that western Christianity faces is the opportunity to see effective leaders raised up to lead churches and other organisations that have pioneering cultures.

Ever since the Gospels and the book of Acts, the vision and mandate for effective leaders who will be outward focused and empowered has been with us. At the same time, this is perhaps the greatest need of the church and para church organisations today.

This Ignite Intensive is designed to help participants grow in effective leadership.

The Intensive will be hosted by New Directions at the Tailrace Centre in Launceston Tasmania. New Directions is a church that has a strong record of pioneering innovative ministries and raising pioneering leaders throughout Australia and beyond. The Tailrace Centre is recognised as one of the most innovative ministry facilities in Australia, effectively integrating ministry with a purpose built marketplace.

The intensives provide a wonderful opportunity to be encouraged, envisioned equipped and empowered.  You will gain not only valuable information but will have the opportunity to mix with like minded great commissionaires.

This intensive will specifically focus on issues effecting leaders and their effectiveness, and will include topics that include:

  1. A Mandate To Lead through Change

  2. Apostolic Leadership

  3. Loving Our Community

  4. Reaching Our Cities

  5. Changing Our Communities

  6. Jumping Into The Fire

  7. The Prevailing Church

  8. Shaping Culture

  9. Keeping Healthy

  10. Leading Teams

  11. Choosing Elders & Leaders

The sessions will be led by Tim and Sharon O’Neill and Phillip Mutzelburg.

Hear what Christian leaders are saying about this intensive:

  1. Tim O'Neill's teaching on leadership is profound, thought provoking and life giving. He recently taught at the BMi Tasmanian State Gathering and the depth and width of teaching was refreshing. Tim expresses insight with a clarity and revelation. This time at the Leadership Intensive will be time absolutely well spent, time that  will challenge and grow you. Take time to be at the next Leadership Intensive.

  2. Mark Crawford, National Leader BMi

  3. Hearing Tim O'Neill's sessions at our recent BMi State gathering in Tasmania was refreshing and inspiring. Finding a way forward to influence our communities for Christ through the  7 Pillars of Society opened up a fresh vision and way forward for the Church to arise. I would encourage any Church leader to learn ways to communicate the Gospel in these last days and the shift in our thinking that it will take to get the great commission fulfilled. The relevance of this training is not to be missed.

  4. Greg Phillips Australian Coordinator, Bethesda Ministries International
